Synopsis

Superman searches for a balance between his Earthly mission and his Kryptonian past

Clark Kent is a dedicated journalist at the Daily Planet reporting on the happenings of Metropolis. But he’s also the sworn protector of Earth and a Kryptonian by birth. Alongside his love, Lois Lane, Superman begins a journey of self-discovery to understand his identity and place in the world. However, some would rather see the hero fall rather than let him be a beacon for humanity.

James Gunn directs the first chapter of the DCU with David Corenswet starring as Superman

Superman is an superhero movie based on the DC Comics character Superman. It is the first official movie in the DC Universe and the third instalment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The movie is written and directed by James Gunn, best known for the Peacemaker. Superman is produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran, the co-CEOs of DC Studios.

Superman stars David Corenswet in the lead role as Clark Kent/Superman. He is best known for his work on the television series The Menu. The rest of the cast includes Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Maria Gabriela de Faria as Engineer. Sara Sampaio stars as Lex Luthor’s assistant Eve Teschmacher while Skyler Gisondo plays Jimmy Olsen. Wendell Pierce stars as Perry White.
